PEACOCK SEWING BAG

Ispirata dagli antichi sampler olandesi ho disegnato una nuova sewing bag con dei simpatici pavoni, su lino Week dye work e con filati dmc . Ho opportunamente invecchiato il ricamo per dargli il mio consueto stile 'primitivo'.
Anche questo disegno si aggiunge alla mia collezione, chi ne fosse interessato mi può scrivere alla mia e-mail.

Inspired by antiques duch samplers I designed a new sewing bag on Weeks dye work linen and dmc threads.
I dyed everything with coffee for getting an aged look. If somebody is interested in this design please write me.

GOES and ANTWERPEN

La mia breve vacanza tra Olanda e Belgio è stata fantastica, entrando nei musei di Goes prima e di Antwerpen poi, abbiamo avuto la sensazione di fare un tuffo nel passato. Samplers di vario genere, imparaticci, piccoli oggetti ricamati da abili mani di bimba. La maggior parte della raccolta proveniva dalla scuola per orfanelle, dove alle bimbe veniva insegnato il ricamo e l'ordine. A completare questa atmosfera da sogno quadri di Rubens e altri pittori della scuola fiamminga ci hanno incantato.

Few days between The Netherland and Belgium, fantastic adventure in some wonderfull 1700 samplers exposition. Most of them made by skill little girls hands when at that time they went to school for learning to stitch and to be polite. Lot of them were orphan and passed most of their life in school. We really saw so many beauties!! And with all of this beauty, lot of masterpieces by Rubens an many other Flemish artists.

Bomboniera per ITALIA INVITA

Quest'anno la fiera Italia Invita svoltasi a Parma, aveva come tema la bomboniera, mi è stato chiesto dall'Associazione Italiana Punto croce, della quale faccio parte, di confezionarne una nel mio stile primitive. Adesso ve la posso mostrare liberamente e spero vi piaccia.

Colgo l'occasione per salutarvi , vado qualche giorno in Olanda a trovare la mia cara amica Candy, e spero anche di avere il tempo di visitare con lei il museo di Goes dove è stata allestita una sezione di antichi samplers in esposizione. Arrivederci alla prossima settimana.

I made this primitive bonbonnière for Parma Italia Invita fair. I hope you like it.Italia Invita is an annual fair about every kind of stitching and stitching tools and it's very interesting to visit it. The show was on the middle of may just in the meantime of Rosignano Riso e Rose.

With this picture I say you ..."see you next week", yes because I'm leaving to The Nederland to meet my dear friend Candy and to visit an antique samplers show with her. Till next time my friends.

SEA SAMPLER by Paola.

Guardate che meraviglia ha realizzato Paola ricamando il mio disegno 'Sea Sampler' postato il 23 maggio scorso: una deliziosa borsina da usare nelle più svariate occasioni. L'ha personalizzata con la propria data di matrimonio rendendola particolarmente speciale. Complimenti Paola.

Look at that beauty that Paola made with my Sea Sampler design posted on may 23. A lovely hanging bag needfull in many occasions. She personalized it with her wedding date getting a very special hand- made.

BASKETS Finished!

Eccomi alla fine del mio disegno dedicato ai cesti di fiori, ho confezionato questi ultimi come puntaspilli e porta forbici. Ho usato un 36 ct lino naturale tinto nel caffè DOPO che l'ho ricamato
, i fili sono DMC. I disegni sono cinque e li metterò insieme in un unico schema che ho chiamato semplicemente BASKETS.

I finally finished Baskets designs, I made pincushion and scissor keeper with them. BASKETS is the name of this chart and you can have five designs together in one chart. 36 ct natural linen coffee dyed after stitched , DMC threads.

Flower basket chart # 3

Ecco il numero tre della serie 'Flower basket', ancora due disegni e poi lo schema è completato. Questa idea di confezionamento che vi propongo oggi , è un porta lavoro che ci può accompagnare durante i nostri viaggi e trasferte, le tasche sono ideali per i piccoli utensili, il cuore in panno è un puntaspilli molto pratico.

This's Flower basket serie chart #3, I finished it as sewing bag idea, needfull for our stitching, the pocket inside just perfect for keeping scissors or thimble...and any other tools.
