YO-YO PINCUSHIONS FINISHED

Eccoveli tutti e quattro insieme i miei yo-yo pincushions. Tutti ricamati su lino Graziano grezzo e poi invecchiati nel caffè.La mia consueta cucitura con il blanket stitch rende ancora più primitivo il lavoro.I disegni mi sono stati ispirati da un vecchio sampler tedesco del 1853.Questi disegni si aggiungono alla mia collezione di schemi, chi ne fosse interessato mi può contattare all'indirizzo e-mail scritto in alto alla pagina.

Finally finished my yo-yo pincushions.Stitched on 32 ct Graziano raw linen with dmc thread then dyed in coffee to get an old look. I made little blanket stitches on the edges as usual.Those designs were inspired to me by a 1853 german sampler. You can use them as pincushions or you can put lavender inside and use them as ornaments on a door handle...or window.. you can work with your fantasy and enjoy in stitching them as they're easy and simple to make. WHAT A BEAUTIFULL DAY!

Pomeriggio all'insegna del ricamo e della buona compagnia ieri quì a casa mia a Baveno!Marilou da Lione, Angela e Anna da Casale Monferrato ,Patricia da Ivrea e la mia amica Paola
Ci siamo incontrate ed è stato un turbine di chiacchere sul ricamo sui nastri ,sulle confezioni. Ognuna di loro ha portato da vedere cose deliziose. La foto di ensemble vede da destra sedute:Marilou e Paola, dall'alto a sinistra Angie, io, Patricia e Anna. Gli splendidi pizzi fotografati e la matassina di fili di lino nonchè la scatola di biscottini prelibati sono un gradito regalo che ho avuto il piacere di ricevere! Ragazze che bel pomeriggio passato insieme!

We had great time yesterday in my house, some dear stitchers friends came to visit me and it was wonderfull. You can see all of us on the picture: sitting from right Marilou from Lyon, Paola, standing from left: Angie, me, Patricia and Anna. Angie and Anna brought me some lovely gifts as you can see from the picture: old laces and linen thread, and delicious biscuits from Casale Monferato.

YO-YO PINCUSHIONS

La mia passione per i puntaspili e i cuscinetti è a voi ben nota. Ecco quindi che ho ideato una nuova serie di quattro disegni intitolata :'YO-YO pincushions' poichè come potete vedere dalla foto ho aggiunto sul retro dal lavoro questo simpatico ed originale abbellimento. L'ispirazione sono sempre i soggetti degli antichi samplers.

Altri due disegni sono in progettazzione e li potrete vedere presto.

I just love pincushions and you know that, so I started to design a new serie called 'YO-YO PINCUSHIONS' as you can see I used this sweet embellishment on the back. It's serie of four all together so...keep watching.. more yo-yo pincushions are coming soon!!!..

Wonderfull stitchers made my desings.

Oggi vi voglio mostrare cosa hanno fatto Helene e Ornella . Ornella mi ha inviato una foto di quella gran bellezza che ha realizzato con il mio free, e Helene invece si è lanciata a tutto spiano realizzando cose meravigliose con i miei disegni, Blossom, Cartouches, Tulip Garden. Grazie per aver scelto di ricamare le mie creazioni ragazze , avete fatto un lavoro fantastico.
I'm very pleased to show that picture. Helene from France and Ornella from Italy made those wonderfull works with my designs. Ornella stitched and finished in this beautifull way my freebie, and Helene made those lovely works from: Blossom, Cartouches and Tulip garden. Thank you girls for chosing my desings!

1876 SEWING POCKET

Durante il mio recente viaggio al museo di Anversa sono stata particolarmente colpita da un 'darning sampler' del 1876 che si presentava con un ricamo floreale nella parte alta del lavoro, erano parecchi cestini di fiori di svariato genere e forma. Da uno di questi cestini è nato questo mio nuovo disegno ispirato a questo insolito sampler.

I was very well impressed by a 'darning sampler' in Anversa museum, it was un unusual one with beautifull pots of flowers on the very top part of it. I was so inspired by it that I decided to make a new design reproducing one of those pots of flowers.
I hope you'll like this aged sewing pocket, I added old key and old buttons ...some of my favourite things.If you're interested in this design please contact me.

THREAD AND NEEDLE CASE.

Oggi vi presento la mia ultima 'fatica'. Ho disegnato questa 'Thread e needle case' ispirata da un vecchio testo che raffigurava alcune di queste insolite tasche dove custodire il nostro ricamo.

Invitata da alcune mie fans ho deciso di mettere in vendita questo modello in perfetto stile primitive. Questo è un mio disegno originale, il ricamo è eseguito a punto croce con filati dmc, lino grezzo 32 ct invecchiato nel caffè e finitura con il mio consueto 'Button hole' tutta rigorosamente a mano.

Im' showing you today a very new design of mine. Inspired by an old book that's a lovely Thread and needle-case very needfull for stitcher like us . Four pockets all cross stitched on 32 coffee dyed linen with dmc thread, button hole around and beautifull back fabric, vintage buttons and ric rac embellishment on the bottom pocket. Some of my stitchers friends suggested me ,with their kind letters, to sell some of my models..so if you want that model is on sale!If somebody is interested in it please contact me.

FOUR PINCUSHIONS

Ecco finalmente finiti i miei puntaspilli. Questo disegno si intitola semplicemente:" Four Pincushions". Li ho realizzati su lino Weeks Dye work 'gingham' ma si possono ricamare su qualsiasi tipo di lino neutro tinto nel caffè per ottenere la consueta aria 'invecchiata'.

I finally finished my new desing, I called it simply:"Four Pincushions". I stitched them on ' 28ct Gingham Weeks Dye Works linen but you can do it in any kind of natural linen coffee dyed after stitched for getting an old age look.
