IL ETAIT UN FIL

Hello my dear friends. Hope you're doing well and  passing your summer in serenity. Well, today I want to show you a new that has a little bit of history. Time ago I met a director of EDITION DE SAXE and of a very famous french magazine called IL ETAIT UN FIL, she kindly invited me to design something for her. I was honored for that and of course I accecpted. Here we're I did it!! .. and today I'm proud to show you my project for that lovely french magazine. I made a pouch to bring everywhere with you on holiday for your stitching projects, and some very sweet little pincushions to use and to hang on a key..what do you think ? do you like it? I hope so. Carissime amiche oggi sono lieta di mostrarvi il mio progetto realizzato per la rivista francese IL ETAIT UN FIL di Ed. DE SAXE. Tempo fa ho incontrato la direttrice di questo famoso  giornale  la quale mi ha gentilmente invitato a realizzare un progetto esclusivo per il numero estivo della rivista. Naturalmente ho accettato perchè mi è sembrata una cosa straordinaria, e così tra un progetto e l'altro ecco che è nato questo delizioso porta lavoro  per i vostri ricami estivi e quattro simpatici puntaspilli che saranno utilissimi anche come decorazione per una chiave di un armadio speciale. STITCHING FRIENDS ACCESSORIES

 Buongiorno carissime, un nuovo giorno un nuovo progetto. Sto lavorando moltissimo per Formigine a settembre e oggi vi desidero presentare un pezzettino di un nuovo disegno che si initola STITCHING FRIENDS.   Il disegno si suddivide in tre parti e questa è una delle tre. Ho realizzato a crochet il porta aghi e poi ho 'incorniciato' il ricamo sempre con un semplice motivo all'uncinetto e l'ho applicato al needlebook. La scritta è molto  essenziale ed i colori sono i colori caldi che abitualmente uso e che caratterizzano il mio stile 'primitive'. Un modo nuovo ed insolito per la realizzazione di un utilissimo oggetto che troverà certamente un posticino nel nostro cesto porta lavoro...per oggi è tutto..alla prossima new care amiche e mi raccomando..felice ricamo e creatività a tutti! xxx NIKY.
Hello my dear friends I'm working pretty hard for Formigine  market in september. New designs, new finishings..many projects!! This lovely crochet needlebook is part of a new design that I called STITCHING FRIENDS..they're three designs all together that you can use in different way, here is the first. After made the crochet needlebook I stitched the design and 'framed' it with crochet then I sewed it on the little book, a very easy way to give a different looking to a very usefull accessorie for our sewing basket...it'all for now..until next time..keep going on stitching and ..have a lovely day. ....XXX NIKY.

JANE AUSTEN NEEDLEBOOKS

Buongiorno carissime amiche, oggi desidero mostrarvi nuovi needlebooks realizzati con la stessa tecnica della stampa su stoffa dei precedenti dedicati agli antichi samplers. Questa volta il soggetto è la nostra amata eroina Jane Austen che a distanza di anni ci fa ancora sognare e ci dona serenità con i suoi romanzi così mirabilmente raccontati e le sue descrizioni di un'epoca passata che ci affascina ancora e sempre. Ho scelto delle immagini di gentili donzelle in lettura nelle quali noi ci potremmo immedesimare in questa stagione estiva  dove abbiamo l'opportunità di dedicarci a questo passatempo forse un pò più frequentemente. I NEVER STOP!!!!!!

Carissime, lo conoscete quel detto 'più fai più faresti?'..è quello che capita a me molto spesso. In questo periodo sto lavorando moltissimo su diversi fronti e con diverse tecniche che però convogliano tutte alla mia passione principale che è il ricamo. Ho passato la mattinata a prepare i pacchetti da spedire con altri Sampler Needlebooks che hanno davvero riscosso un grande successo, oggi spedisco in Australia e di nuovo in quattro stati americani.
Negli ultimi giorni ho ultimato un progetto che uscirà a settembre al salone di Formigine e questo delizioso cestino porta lavoro è un complemento di questo progetto alquanto insolito ed originale. Spero vi piacerà. Ho realizzato dei simpatici disegni che saranno abbinati al crochet e sicuramente da essi troverete ispirazioni e spunti vari per i vostri progetti autunnali  e perchè no..? anche utili come regali 'natalizi'. Per ora è tutto ma da  idea nasce idea e la mia testa ne è davvero piena. Felice giornata creativa care! XXX NIKY.
Hello my dears, my mind is full of projects and ideas at this time, summer is still cool here on lago Maggiore and that allows me to stitch and crochet easier!! I spent all my early day setting packages to send in US and Australia ..my Sampler Needlebooks are having a big success and I'm very honored , thanks guys!!
...and that lovely crochet basket is a work in progress ...I'm stitching new designs to go with it..so excited indeed!!! New charts are fall charts and I'm sure you 'll enjoy them to make fall and why not..?Christmas projects too. SAMPLER NEEDLEBOOKS DETAILS

Hello my dear friends! I received a lot of letters about my 'Sampler needlebooks', thanks so much for your e-mails!! I'm always so happy to received them! So today I want to explain them a little more. All the needlebooks measure approx 8cm h x 4 cm w . As you can see from the picture inside they're lined by old paper books and I added a scrap of wool to use to keep needles and pins. I closed them with a beautifull vintage ribbon and I gave them an old looking . They're very elegant indeed ! I'm going to put them on my Etsy right now, so if you're interested  please spend few minutes  to have a look. Thanks!! have a great creative day! XXX NIKY.

Carissime, vi ringrazio per le vostre gentili lettere e le vostre domande sui miei 'Sampler Needlebook'! Mi fa sempre piacere ricevere le vostre mails  e vi prego non esitate a chiedere su qualsiasi cosa, sono  contenta di rispondervi. In  seguito alle vostre domande desidero dare  alcuni dettagli su questo nuovo simpatico progetto. I libricini misurano circa 18cm x 4cm ciascuno, tutti sono foderati con carta di vecchi libri e naturalmente ho aggiunto un pezzetto di panno all'interno per puntare aghi e spilli. Ho chiuso il tutto con un cordoncino 'vintage ' e ho ulteriormente invecchiato il lavoro per dare un tocco ancora più antico al tutto. Sampler Needlebooks sono sin da ora sul mio Etsy quindi chi ne fosse interessato può certamente dare una sbirciatina. SAMPLER NEEDLEBOOKS

Carissime, spero abbiate passato una serena domenica. Io un pò sul  balcone un pò in giardino sono riuscita  a portarmi avanti nei miei progetti circondata dalla vivacità della mia famiglia ,gatti compresi,..( foto sotto)...quindi oggi iniziamo la settimana con un' idea carina e utile. Ho stampato su stoffa queste immagini di vecchi samplers e ho creato dei simpatici ed utilissimi porta aghi. Ho usato questa tecnica molto spesso e in precedenza avevo realizzato dei puntaspilli che penso ricorderete! Sto iniziando a preparare per Formigine autunno e per la FF di Nivelle, i miei progetti di ricamo sono ormai orientati sull'autunno e il Natale. Felice inizio settimana a tutti .XXX NIKY.

Hello my dears!!! I hope you spent a joyfull sunday!! I spent mine surrounded by family and cats( picture below!) in my garden and balcony trying to finish some works !!! I'm working on fall and Christmas now and I'm thinking on my next fall markets in Formigine and Nivelle- Belgium.

Well, I want to start my blog week showing you a very cute project: I made those lovely needlebooks with transfer paper, I used beautifull samplers pictures like I did long time ago creating pincushions. I hope you like them and if you're interested in them please do not hesitate to write me.
