Christine's gift

Oggi vi propongo un ricamo eseguito da una mia cara amica. Anche lei come me adora il tè e i classici biscottini da intingere e gustare all'ora della 'merenda'.

Così ha pensato bene di donarmi questa spendida tazzona con allegato un biscottino realizzato con le sue manine.Grazie Christine.

I'm showing you a wonderfull gift made by dear friend Christine. Christine loves tea and biscuits as I do, so she gave me this big cup with a tiny stitched biscuit with vanilla inside. Thank you so much Christine I really appreciated this gift.

Homespun elegance fobs.

Ho trovato, tra i miei tanti raccolgitori di schemi, questi graziosi disegni di Homespunelegance, sono facili e veloci da realizzare, ci ho messo della lavanda all'interno e credo che li regalerò come profuma ambiente.
I found those tiny Homespunelegance designs on my stuff. I stitched and finished them as fobs.
I put lavender inside and I think I'll give away as special Christmas gifts.

THE SPARROW'S SONG

Ho ricamato questo vecchio disegno di GH il mese scorso e solo ora sono riuscita a vederlo finito in questa scatola di legno opera dei nostri artigiani della Valle Strona, una tranquilla valle di montagna proprio sopra il lago. Mi verrà utile per riporci i mille utensili da ricamo che mi circondano, oppure per un prezioso regalo a una altrettanto preziosa persona.

I stitched this very old GH design mounths ago, only now I could see it finished as a wonderfull wood box made in Strona Valley which is a mountain spot right over the lake. It would be needfull for my stitching tools or for a very precious gift.

AU FIL DES REVES.

Vi ricordate Au fil des reves? La raffinata creatrice francese che purtroppo ha smesso di disegnare? L'altra sera mi è venuta nostalgia dei suoi lavori e così ho ricamato questi puntaspilli o porta forbici. Simpatici e veloci, sono lì pronti in attesa di essere regalati per qualche speciale occasione.

Do you remember Au Fil des reves? She was a very nice french designer who stopped in designing some years ago.
I got nostalgia of her works last night so I did those tiny pincushions or scissor-key fobs. They're ready for a gift in next special occasions.

NIVELLES 2008

Eccomi di ritorno da Nivelles, davvero una domenica speciale all'insegna del punto croce. Le disegnatrici francesi mi hanno incantato con il loro charme e il buon gusto nella presentazione dei loro lavori.Vi posto alcune foto scattate quà e la tra i vari atelier. E' stato molto stancante ma meraviglioso.

I'm back from Nivelles where I could to see wonderfull things. French designers enchanted me with their charme, and their booths where so well dressed. I had special time meeting Cinthya Zittel from Drawn Thread she was there with tons of her models and charts.Well I'm very tired indeed but happy for sure with all of my new goodies..

LA FOIR'FOUILLE

Carissime, sono in partenza per NIVELLE a pochi chilometri da Bruxelles , dove parteciperò con Workbasket alla fiera intitolata 'La Foir'fouille': un mondo di punto croce francese e americano.
Intanto vi lascio in compagnia di un anteprima del lunghissimo lavoro che ho per le mani. Qualcuna di voi ha già indovinato di cosa si tratta?
Arrivederci alla settimana prossima.

Dear friends, I'm leaving for Nivelle close to Brussels, I'll attend 'la Foir'fouille market with 'The Workbasket'.It'll be a full immersion on french and american cross stitch.

LA D DA POCKET.

Ho finito ieri sera questo disegno di L D Da intitolato :'This's the day'. Ho usato un vecchio finissimo lino bianco che ho prontamente immerso nel caffè dopo averlo ricamato in modo da ottenere un'effetto 'antico'. Spero di esserci riuscita.
Il tutto è diventato una borsina porta lavoro o porta pizzi della nonna come ho fatto io e utensili vari da ricamo.

I finished this work last night. From a La d da design called:' This's the day'.
I used a very old white linen and put it into coffee after stitched for getting an aged effect.I hope I did. I finished it in a sewing bag or if you like in a pocket for keeping old laces and needlework tools as I did.
